KEDARNATH YATRA
Kedarnath is named after King Kedar who ruled in the Satya Yuga.He ruled the seven continents and was a very saintly king. He had a daughter named Vrnda who was a partial incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi
Summers (May to August) are very pleasant with moderate climate,
with average around 17degree C. Summers is ideal for all sight seeing,
temple visit and also for visiting nearby attractions.
Monsoons (September to October) are accompanied with scanty
rains and also temperature drops down to 12 degree C.
Winters (November to April) are chilly days with average minimum
touching near 5 degree C. Minimum can touch sub zero levels. Snow
falling seen very often during winter
May to October offers cool and pleasant climate and the right period to spend relaxing moments in the outdoors and is ideal for temple visits. November to April is snow bound and chilly.
